John Jackson is a dedicated and passionate educator with 19 years of experience at Florence, where he serves as the Technical Director of Theatre and teaches Guitar 1-4, Technical Theatre Production 1-4, and an audition-only rock ensemble (Room 25).

Before stepping into education, John toured for eight years as a musician and worked as a freelance lighting and audio consultant in the concert and theatre industry. His expertise in technical production includes serving as the Lighting Director for the Ritz Theatre and as the former Secretary of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Association.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern New Hampshire University, blending his love for music, theatre, and technical production into an inspiring learning experience for his students.
