With over 31 years of experience directing choirs, Kevin Reese brings a wealth of talent and passion to the music program at Florence High School. His career spans across various artistic avenues, including award-winning songwriting, acting in musical theater, and serving as a guest soloist and pianist across five states.
Kevin has taken on many memorable roles in musical theater, including:
- King Arthur in Camelot
- Snoopy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
- Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie
- John the Baptist/Judas in Godspell, where he won Best Supporting Actor at the National Community Theater Association.
In addition to his performance career, Kevin wrote and released his own music album, founded the Woodmont Academy of Fine Arts, and served as a pianist for the Shoals Chamber Singers for 2-3 years. He’s also played piano for countless community productions throughout his career.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kevin is most proud of his family — his wife Corinne, their three adult children (all FHS graduates), and his six ridiculously adorable grandchildren who bring him endless joy.
When he's not in the classroom or on stage, you might find Kevin playing piano, spending time with his grandkids, or continuing to share his love of music in his community.
