
Lori Garner is a seasoned educator and theater director with a passion for the arts and storytelling. A native of Hartselle, Alabama, she was actively involved in FBLA, Key Club, and the HHS marching, concert, and jazz bands during high school.
She began her academic journey at Calhoun Community College before earning a B.S. in Secondary Language Arts from Auburn University, where she studied theater and acting. She later pursued a M.A. in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and, after years in education, earned her J.D. from Birmingham School of Law in 2007.
Lori’s teaching career spans high school, middle school, and college levels in Alabama, Arizona, and South Carolina, where she has taught English, Theater, Creative Writing, and Journalism. With over 30 years of experience directing high school, community, and church theatrical productions, she has helped shape the careers of many former students who have gone on to success as professional actors, writers, musicians, and singers.
Now residing in Florence, Alabama, Lori teaches Theater and Creative Writing at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, continuing to inspire the next generation of performers and storytellers.
