Hello! I'm Mrs. Rice. I'm the Gifted Specialist at Forest Hills and Harlan Elementary.  I’m a native of Florence, Alabama, having graduated from Coffee High School and the University of North Alabama.  I earned my Bachelors of Science in Biology from U.N.A. and then my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.  I taught 3^rd and 4^th grade in Georgia and earned my Gifted Endorsement in 2020.  My family and I moved back to Florence in 2021, and I’m so excited to be a part of the amazing school system that I was brought up in!
