Hello!

My name is Rebecca Jangaard. I am a Speech & Language Pathologist at Forest Hills Elementary School. I grew up in the Shoals area, and I am a graduate of Muscle Shoals High School. I received a degree in Communicative Disorders from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). I worked in Lauderdale County Schools while obtaining my Master's in Speech Pathology from Nova Southeastern University before working in Florence City Schools. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and I am licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech & Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA). 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family by gardening, hiking, kayaking, and swimming. I have one son and a daughter on the way in 2024. I love living in Florence and working in the public school system. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to help children find their voice and improve their ability to communicate with others. Florence City Schools has been very supportive of the needs of our students and teachers and I am grateful to work at such a wonderful school!
