My name is Ragen Springer, and I am thrilled to be the Media Specialist here at Rufus G. Hibbett Elementary School. I am a Florence native and graduated from Wilson High School in 2014. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama and my Master's degree and graduate certificate from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I married my husband, Andrew, in 2022, and we currently live in the Oakland community with our nine-year-old boxer, Maisie. We love to travel and attend NASCAR races, and if I'm not at school, you can probably find me at a thrift store or spending time with my family.

While this is my first year as a school librarian, I was previously employed for six years at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, where I worked first in Youth Services and then as the Collection Development Librarian. I am passionate about reading and the effect it can have on children, and it is my goal to instill a love of books in each student that attends Hibbett. Go Falcons!
