Born and raised in the beautiful city of Florence, Holley graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. She has a background in social work and counseling with extensive experience working with youth of all ages. Holley began her journey with Florence City Schools in 2021 as the CTSE/12 For Life counselor. She says that her greatest passion has become providing students with a strong foundation and necessary tools to be successful as they grow into productive citizens. High school is the training ground to grow in responsibility, self-confidence, self-awareness, resilience, integrity, and strong work values. Holley feels that it is a joy everyday to wake up and be able to be a part of that learning process with the students at 12 For Life, and to watch the transformation that takes place in their lives as they grow and mature
The CTSE counselor strives to strengthen educational relevance, improve students’ school and career preparation planning and increase student readiness for workplace demands to foster greater career success.
Career and Technical Guidance provides opportunities and assistance for students enrolled in Career and Technical courses to receive career advising. These services include assisting individuals in making and implementing informed educational choices. Students are assisted in the selection of high school courses, the development of career tracks, and the transition from high school to employment or postsecondary education by helping students consider all of their options following high school completion, including directly entering the world of work.
