I began my teaching career in 2002. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama in 2002. I received both my Master's (2006) and my Educational Specialist's (2009) degrees from Jacksonville State University.  I grew up in Leighton, AL. I graduated from Muscle Shoals High School.  I started teaching at Hibbett Middle School in 2015. 

I believe that good parent-teacher communication is important for great student success. Throughout the school year I will communicate through texts, notes, phone calls, emails, and conferences (by appointment). I encourage my students' parents to contact me with any questions and/or concerns. I'm looking forward to helping each of my students reach their academic potential this school year.
